United Bank of Iowa recently donated $2,024 to the Woodbine Community Food Pantry. This program provides food and toiletries to families in the Woodbine area who need assistance.

This money was raised during United Bank of Iowa's “UNITED TOGETHER Makes the Difference” Cause Day effort. The goal of United Bank of Iowa's Cause Day effort is to give employees the opportunity to make a difference and support people in need in the communities the bank serves. On the second and fourth Fridays of each month, UBI employees from all 35 locations have the option to donate $5 to wear their UNITED TOGETHER T-shirts with jeans to work. The bank matches the employee donations up to $1,000 and the total is donated to one cause, randomly drawn from suggestions from all 35 locations.

The Woodbine Community Food Pantry was the recipient of United Bank of Iowa's April 28, 2023, Cause Day donation.

United Bank of Iowa employees presenting the check were Ryan Murphy, Riley Kafton, Jake Schaben, Cindy Carter and Amy Mitchell.

Accepting the donation on behalf of the Woodbine Community Food Pantry was Kathy Waite.

Since September 2020, UBI has donated $136,504 to 63 causes in their market area through this Cause Day effort.
