City of Dunlap Meeting Minutes September 13, 2023 Mayor Knickman called the regular council meeting to order on Wednesday, September 13 at 7:00pm in the Council Chambers, City Hall pursuant to law with the following council members present: Bonsall, Murphy, Gunia Absent: Kuhlman, Schauer. Motion by Gunia second by Murphy to approve the agenda. All in favor, motion carried. Mayor Knickman called the Public Hearing on Proposed Amendment to the Code of Ordinances. No public comments came in. Schauer entered Council chambers at 7:07pm. Motion by Gunia second by Bonsall to approve the 1st reading of Ordinance 210. All in favor, motion carried. Motion by Bonsall second by Gunia to waive the 2nd and 3rd reading. All in favor, motion carried. Motion by Gunia second by Murphy to adopt Ordinance 210 amendment to Code of Ordinances. All in favor, motion carried. Motion by Murphy second by Gunia to approve minutes from August 9 Regular Council Meeting. All in favor, motion carried. Motion by Gunia second by Murphy to approve payment of bills. All in favor, motion carried. Motion by Gunia second by Bonsall to deny Building Permits for Dunlap Duplex Project I & II and to approve Terry Engle-patio, Rodney Summerfield- wheel chair ramp. All in favor, motion carried. Meredith Van Houten gave the Fire Department report. Paula Evans gave the library report. Meredith gave the Park Board report. We will have interviews the same time as the Public Works interviews. A date will be set up soon, Murphy and Bonsall will be on the interview committee. Mayor Knickman Proclaimed September 17 through September 23 as Constitution Week. He also let the Council know he will be meeting about Pleasant View Park in the next couple weeks. Meredith gave the Police Report. Motion by Gunia second by Schauer to approve ordering the Dodge Durango. All in favor, motion carried. Smitty’s alley was discussed. Motion by Schauer second by Gunia to adjourn at 7:42pm.
