City of Dunlap Meeting Minutes October 12, 2022 Mayor Knickman called the regular council meeting to order on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at 7:00 pm in the Council Chambers, City Hall pursuant to law with the following council members present: Casperson, Gunia, Bonsall; absent: Kuhlman, Schauer. Motion by Gunia second by Casperson to approve the agenda. All in favor, motion carried. Schauer entered Council Chambers at 7:05pm. Motion by Bonsall second by Casperson to approve minutes from September 14 Regular Council Meeting. All in favor, motion carried. Motion by Bonsall second by Gunia to approve payment of bills. All in favor, motion carried. Motion by Gunia second by Schauer to approve consent agenda items: Building permits for Devyn Lawrence-cement. All in favor, motion carried. Paula Evans gave a report on the library. Connie Casperson spoke under public input. Mayor Knickman let the Council know Lansik will be here next week to cut trees, he attended a sidewalk meeting with the IDOT and he set a date for a work meeting for the Council on November 2nd at 7pm. Mayor Knickman appointed Matt Koski to the P & Z board. Motion by Schauer second by Bonsall to approve Matt Koski to the P & Z board. All in favor, motion carried. Motion by Gunia second by Schauer to hire Wade Vennik as a Dunlap Police Officer. All in favor, motion carried. Under New Business the IDOT study was discussed to reduce speed coming into town by DLA, the Council has more questions, so it will be discussed again at the next meeting. Motion by Gunia second by Bonsall to adjourn at 7:46pm. All in favor, motion carried. These minutes will be approved at the next regular council meeting.
