BOYER VALLEY COMMUNITY SCHOOLS BOARD OF DIRECTORS – SPECIAL MEETING – FEBRUARY 20, 2022 7:00 P.M. - BOARD ROOM, BOYER VALLEY SOUTH CALL TO ORDER: President Steve Puck called a special meeting of the Boyer Valley Board of Education to order at 7:00 p.m. Members answering roll call were Ben Hansen, Elizabeth Heistand, Craig Malone and Steve Puck. Directors Cogdill, Miller and Ueding were absent. Also present was Secretary Terra Sell. President Puck declared quorum present. Secretary Sell read the mission statement. APPROVAL OF THE AGENDA: Motion by Hansen, second by Malone to approve the agenda as published. Motion carried 4-0. Director Miller arrived at 7:01 p.m. WORK SESSION: Paul Tedesco with EdWise, LLC lead the work session, via zoom, to discuss the criteria for the Superintendent search. The board pinpointed the skills and characteristics the district was seeking, along with compensation and benefits to be offered. The timeline and itinerary for focus groups and interview days were discussed. The Board will meet on March 9th to review applications and decide who they wish to interview. Interview days are tentatively set for March 14th and 15th. No board action was taken. A motion by Heistand, second by Miller to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried 5-0. With no further business appearing before the board, President Puck declared the meeting adjourned at 8:32 p.m. These minutes are as recorded by the board secretary and subject to approval at the next regular board meeting.
